The School of Art & Wellbeing is in a little corner of exquisite Devon countryside with a view all the way to Dartmoor and only one mile from the market town of Honiton with a direct train line to London Waterloo, the art school is set in 15 acres of wild flower meadows, formal gardens, orchard, beech walk, veg plot and a secret Forest Garden to wander in.

How we came to be here...

Mary Ann Mackenzie took over the running of a small co-ed preparatory day school in 1998 where her children attended. It was set in acres of the most beautiful countryside in East Devon. After retiring from primary education she began to run art classes, in the old cricket pavilion, which went from strength to strength until she realised that the thirst for art in all its forms was just knocking at the door.
Seven years on, she has a great team of people helping to cook wonderful food, grow the organic veg and keep the house and accommodation shining like new pins. She has fabulous tutors including International Artists like Gareth Edwards offering great courses and practitioners offering beautiful retreats.
