About the School of Art & Wellbeing
“I believe that everyone has the ability to draw and paint given the right environment, the right encouragement and where one’s creative impulse can find a voice…. Come and join us.”
Mary Ann Mackenzie
The School of Art & Wellbeing is in a little corner of exquisite Devon countryside with a view all the way to Dartmoor and only a mile from the market town of Honiton with a direct train line to London Waterloo, the art school is set in 15 acres of wild flower meadows, formal gardens, orchard, beech walk, veg plot and a secret Forest Garden to wander in.
HOW WE CAME TO BE HERE
After many artistic adventures in education, running a decorating company for 15 years in London and painting portraits, Mary Ann Mackenzie began to run art classes in an old cricket pavilion, which went from strength to strength until she realised that the thirst for art in all its forms was just knocking at the door.
Ten years on, it is now a thriving art school with a team of tutors offering fabulous classes and courses to suit everyone.
So wherever you are on your artistic journey… come and join us for a wonderful time.
